Discovery Point Dundee AIM Design are seeking an enthusiastic and talented Architect/ Architectural Technician / Part 2 to join our design led award winning practice in our city centre waterfront office at City Quay, Dundee. We are a design led award winning practice renowned for innovative exhibition and interior design based at Dundee City Quay’s waterfront. We currently have a broad range of work from bespoke high end private domestic work to public and private commercial work including exhibitions, visitor attractions, retail and offices with an expanding workload of exciting projects at all RIBA Stages.

This is an exciting opportunity to work collaboratively on a range of projects in different sectors within a friendly and supportive working environment. We are seeking an ambitious individual to join our friendly design led studio to play an integral role in developing and delivering projects.

Requirements:
  • A minimum of 2-3 years experience working in practice.
  • Self-motivated with a proactive attitude with an ability to collaborate and communicate well.
  • Excellent time management with the ability to work to deadlines, under pressure and under your own initiative.
  • A team player that enjoys exploring ideas to find solutions to design challenges.
  • A good working knowledge of Scottish Planning and Building Regulations.
  • On site experience is desirable.
  • Strong design skills and technical knowledge with excellent detailing ability is essential.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD, Sketchup and Photoshop 3D modelling skills essential.
  • Revit and V-ray experience desirable.
