We are seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a leading specialist in high-quality joinery, fire door systems, and MDF products, who serve commercial and residential markets across the UK and Ireland!

Role Overview:

As a Senior QS, you will manage all cost-related aspects to ongoing projects, ensuring maximum value for money while maintaining quality and compliance. You will play a key role in budgeting, procurement, cost planning, and contractual oversight across multiple bespoke manufacturing projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead cost estimation and financial planning on joinery, fire door, and MDF projects
  • Prepare tender documentation and manage subcontractor procurement
  • Monitor project costs and valuations, ensuring financial efficiency
  • Liaise closely with project managers, production teams, and clients
  • Manage risk and contract compliance throughout the project lifecycle
  • Provide regular cost reports and commercial forecasts to senior management

Criteria:

  • Degree-qualified in Quantity Surveying or equivalent
  • Minimum 5 years experience in a QS role, ideally within joinery or construction manufacturing
  • Strong knowledge of fire door compliance and manufacturing practices (desirable)
  • Proficient in construction contracts (JCT/NEC) and procurement processes
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and analytical skills
  • Ability to lead commercial aspects of multiple projects concurrently
