A leading manufacturing organisation in Kilrea is seeking a dedicated Press Brake Assistant to join its night shift team. This key role supports production by assisting with press brake setup, material flow, forklift operation, and quality checks, ensuring safe, efficient, and smooth operations within the fabrication area.
Β£12.73 per hour, depending on experience. Night shift premium (15 percent). Monday to Thursday, 6pm to 5am. Opportunities for ongoing training and development. Permanent role.
Responsibilities- Safely operates forklifts to transport raw materials, sheet metal, tooling, and finished parts.
- Loads and unloads materials from delivery vehicles when required.
- Stocks and organises materials in designated areas, ensuring accurate inventory movement.
- Delivers materials to press brakes and other production workstations.
- Adheres strictly to all site safety rules, traffic protocols, and forklift best practices.
- Works closely with machine operators and supervisors to prioritise material movement and production needs.
- Tracks work-in-progress and supports timely completion of scheduled orders.
- Previous experience in a manufacturing or metal fabrication environment is preferred.
- Valid forklift certification or willingness to obtain one.
- Ability to read blueprints and use precision measurement tools.
- High attention to detail and strong commitment to safety.
- Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and standing for extended periods.
- Press brake experience or strong mechanical aptitude is highly desirable.
