Our friendly Retail team is looking for a new store supervisor! If you enjoy working in a customer focused environment and are driven by providing excellent customer services, inspiration and leadership to team members, then this is the role for you. This role offers the opportunity to be part of one of the largest money transfer companies. The Store supervisor is the face of the company and represents Ria Financial Services in the community. Therefore, the Store supervisor provides exceptional customer services, inspiration, and leadership to the store staff. Through one-on-one coaching in product knowledge, sales and business development by maximising the potential of the money transfer, foreign exchange and additional products and services offered in our network of retail stores to achieve set store goals and targets. The store supervisor holds responsibility for meeting and exceeding all company and individual goals in line with the company’s targets, policies, procedures and values.
Responsibilities
- Exceptional customer services, keep a consistently positive attitude and can develop speed, accuracy, tact, and resolve conflicts with customers.
- Communicate effectively with customers about the services, conditions and foreign exchange rates and proactively sell all services offered by Ria to maximize revenues and cross-selling opportunities.
- Interpersonal skills to include a significant level of trust, diplomacy and courtesy to resolve money transfer and foreign exchange order incidents, working together with different departments including Customer Service, Operations and Compliance.
- Positive approach in interactions with customers and the team to effectively communicate courteously and professionally, both written and oral.
- Enhancing awareness of Ria store and brand.
- Actively promoting and informing customers about our marketing campaigns, services and products.
- Liaising with the management to develop innovative marketing strategies, promotions to achieve targets and goals.
- Playing a leading role in running a successful store by making the right choices to deliver excellent results and achieve the divisional goals.
- Developing, implementing and maintaining a Sales Action Plan for the store, for all revenue channels.
- Manage daily activities to ensure adherence to the correct opening and closing procedures, ensuring the security of all monies within the safe and the engaging of the alarm systems when closing the store along existing policies and procedures.
- Guide store staff by clearly defining the priorities of the day in the morning, and keep accurate and efficient processes and record routine operations of the store.
- Keep tills organized and reconcile all tills at the end of each day quickly and error free.
- Follow and maintain established procedures and adhere to UK legislation and Ria’s AML policies and procedures.
- Follow and ensure the security and cash control procedures in place for stores ensuring the security of the cashier zone, to which no outsider is permitted entry without approval.
- Perform the steps required during the regular collection of funds by the CIT company.
- Assist with incident investigation and risk assessments within 48hrs of any work related injury and implement corrective actions following the investigation with the required timeframe.
Other duties
- Identify and participate in visits to relevant community businesses/ places of interest e.g. ethnic shops, community associations to promote and increase the store’s standing and/or flyer distribution.
- Identify potential advertising/marketing opportunities or community events.
- Other duties, special projects, and special reporting as assigned without extra remuneration.
- Provide guidance and training to junior tellers.
Required Experience / Qualifications
- Previous experience in customer service activities in a financial environment.
- Leadership skills. The Store supervisor must keep the team motivated and resolve conflicts.
- Team player – ability to work as part of a team is essential.
- Great verbal and writing communication skills.
- Good aptitude for mathematics and figures.
- Good character, honesty and reliability.
