A leading boutique workplace design & build studio is seeking a Project Director to join its growing senior leadership team in London. This is an opportunity to join a highly respected, design-led company delivering exceptional commercial workplace projects for a broad portfolio of ambitious clients across the UK. The successful candidate will take ownership of multiple high-value fit-out and refurbishment projects, leading delivery teams from pre-construction through to completion while maintaining strong client relationships and driving commercial performance. This role would suit candidates seeking greater autonomy, client exposure, and influence at senior level, or an established Project Director looking to move into a smaller, highly successful workplace business outside of a Tier 1 contractor environment, offering a more agile culture, faster decision-making, and the opportunity to make a genuine impact across projects and the wider business.
Key responsibilities:
- Lead early-stage client engagement and pre-construction strategy
- Own bid, pitch and proposal processes
- Provide senior leadership across design, technical, commercial and delivery teams
- Oversee feasibility, buildability and risk management
- Direct cost planning, value engineering and programme development
- Lead supply-chain engagement during pre-construction
- Ensure robust handover into delivery teams
- Build and develop your own network, acquiring new leads.
