Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) - London

RhynoCare is currently looking for highly professional, experienced Registered Practical Nurses (RPNs) to work in a long term facility in the London area. Responsibilities To provide nursing care in accordance with established policy, physician’s orders, the resident plan of care, and within the scope of practice of an RPN. Utilize sound nursing practice principles to ensure the delivery of excellent nursing and personal care in the assigned home area(s). Ensure a timely and accessible admission for the residents including a comprehensive orientation to the home and the services offered within the home Ensure that resident transfers and discharges are timely and safe Ensure the supply, control, and safekeeping of drugs and narcotics, ensure protocols are followed on all assigned shifts Responsible for assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating nursing care to meet the physical, psychological, emotional, spiritual, cultural and social needs of the residents Requirements Active registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario. Ability to work independently, or as part of a team. Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills Must be able to work the flexible shift times, depending on the facility; eight (8) or twelve (12) hours in length. Must be able to ‘float’ from unit to unit within a healthcare facility, depending on need. Must be reliable (once availability is given) to be placed at an agreed upon facility/unit.
