As one of the largest and most dominant residential design firms in the world, we have a global portfolio of celebrated, nationally published projects from San Francisco to Shanghai, Miami to Milan, Los Angeles to London, Pittsburgh to Paris, Toronto to Tokyo and Denver to Dubai. RH is seeking a Principal Designer who will pioneer the development of our design business at RH London.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide a luxury experience for RH clientele through every facet of RH Interior Design.
  • Masterfully integrate and implement the RH Design Ethos across all residential interior design projects.
  • Attract, lead, inspire and develop a team of elite interior designers.
  • Create brand-elevating interior design presentations; communicate design concepts, space planning decisions and product selections.
  • Guide clients through every phase of their design journey including consultations, site visits, deliveries and installations.
  • Lead multiple, large-scale architectural design projects from concept to completion.
  • Champion the firm’s vision, strategies, and financial goals.
  • Serve as a brand ambassador by hosting exclusive events, fostering relationships within the community and driving brand growth.
  • Maintain a high level of engagement and knowledge within the local luxury market.

OUR REQUIREMENTS

  • 15+ years of interior design experience, including architectural design, project management, and collaboration with cross-functional teams.
  • Demonstrated expertise in new construction and renovation timelines, including the design of custom kitchens, bathrooms and millwork.
  • Proven experience leading high-performing teams.
  • Hands-on expertise in interior construction and installation.
  • Previous ownership and operation of interior design firm preferred.
  • Must possess a valid passport for international travel and a valid driver’s license for daily vehicle operation.
  • NCIDQ certification and a degree in Interior Design, Architecture or a related field preferred.
  • Proficiency with Mac Operating System, iOS devices, Microsoft Office and Google applications.
  • In-depth proficiency in AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite and other related space planning/rendering programs preferred.
  • Local, domestic and international travel up to 50%.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Lift and mobilize small to medium items up to 15 kg while utilizing appropriate equipment and techniques.
