We are recruiting a hands-on General Manager for a modern 120-bedroom, room-only hotel in central London, catering to both leisure and business guests. This is a standalone operation within a small group structure. As such, the role requires a highly self-sufficient operator with a proven track record working with independent or small group hotels, comfortable working without extensive centralised support.

Key Responsibilities

  • Full operational oversight of all departments (Reception, Housekeeping, Reservations and Sales)
  • Direct leadership and support of all Heads of Department
  • End-to-end responsibility for day-to-day hotel performance
  • Ownership of financials, budgeting, business development and management reporting
  • Driving service standards and guest satisfaction across the property
  • Monitoring sales performance in line with business objectives
  • Ensuring full compliance with statutory and company requirements

Experience Required

  • Essential: Minimum 2-3 years experience as General Manager, Hotel Manager or Operations Manager within an independent hotel or small hotel group
  • Candidates from large branded hotels without independent operational experience will not be considered
  • Proven experience managing all departments with full P&L accountability
  • Strong commercial awareness and hands-on operational approach
  • Stable and consistent career history
