Role Purpose:
We are currently seeking a passionate and knowledgeable Sommelier or Junior Sommelier to join our team at Fenchurch Restaurant, the award-winning 2 AA Rosette restaurant located at the top of London's iconic Sky Garden. This is an exciting opportunity for a wine professional looking to develop their career within a prestigious fine dining environment. What you'll be doing
- Supporting the Head Sommelier in the daily running of the wine department
- Delivering exceptional wine service and creating memorable dining experiences for guests
- Advising guests confidently on wine pairings, wine recommendations, grape varietals, and wine regions
- Ensuring the correct storage, handling, and presentation of wines to maintain quality standards
- Contributing to the smooth operation of the restaurant's wine programme and beverage service
What we're looking for
- Previous experience as a Sommelier, Junior Sommelier, Wine Waiter, or similar role within a fine dining or hospitality environment
- Strong knowledge of wine, wine-producing regions, grape varietals, and food and wine pairings
- Excellent communication, guest engagement, and interpersonal skills
- A passion for wine, hospitality, and delivering exceptional customer experiences
- WSET, Court of Master Sommeliers, or other recognised wine qualifications would be advantageous
