About the Venue: The Island Quarter has already become an iconic canal-side destination for Nottingham, boasting three storeys of restaurants, bars, and events space. From casual all-day dining, drinks and entertainment at Binks Yard with its expansive outdoor terrace, stage and screen built for live performances and sports screening, to refined dining at the Cleaver & Wake restaurant and bar using the very best ingredients from across the British Isles, this multi-purpose venue is truly one of a kind. The Island Quarter is managed by Rhubarb, part of Oak View Group.

Role Purpose: We are now looking for a Chef de Partie to join our kitchen brigade and play a key role in delivering the outstanding food experience Cleaver & Wake is known for.

What you'll be doing:

  • Running your section to an exceptional standard, ensuring consistency, precision and attention to detail in every dish.
  • Supporting the Senior Chefs with menu execution, prep and service across lunch, dinner and events.
  • Maintaining high levels of organisation, cleanliness and food safety at all times.
  • Contributing ideas, creativity and passion to a kitchen that values innovation and seasonality.
  • Working collaboratively with the wider team to deliver a smooth, efficient and memorable service.

What we're looking for:

  • Experience as a Chef de Partie or strong Demi Chef de Partie within a premium, fine-dining or high-quality restaurant environment.
  • A genuine passion for exceptional food, ingredients and technique.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-standards kitchen.
  • A positive, team-focused attitude and a desire to grow and develop your craft.
  • Commitment to maintaining the highest levels of food safety and kitchen hygiene.
