About the Venue

At the top of the Walkie Talkie building, Darwin is our rooftop all-day restaurant inspired by the very best of British. Laid-back but luxe, the space is inspired by nature and understated décor which allows the food and incredible view to do the talking!

Role Purpose

We are looking for an assistant general manager to join our team at Darwin Brasserie, located within London’s iconic Sky Garden. This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate hospitality leader who thrives in a fast-paced, high-volume premium dining environment and is driven by delivering exceptional guest experiences. Working alongside the General Manager, you’ll play a key role in leading a world class operation in one of London’s most unique dining destinations.

What you'll be doing

  • Support the General Manager in overseeing all day-to-day restaurant operations
  • Lead, inspire, and develop a large front of house team to consistently deliver exceptional service
  • Drive a positive guest experience and uphold the highest hospitality standards
  • Maintain excellent health & safety and compliance standards throughout the venue
  • Handle guest feedback with professionalism, confidence, and care
  • Foster a positive, energetic, and high-performing team culture
  • Help ensure smooth service delivery in a busy, dynamic environment

What we're looking for

  • Proven experience as an AGM, Assistant Restaurant Manager, or senior manager within a high-volume premium restaurant
  • A confident and motivating leader with strong people management skills
  • Excellent communication and organisational abilities
  • A genuine passion for hospitality and creating memorable guest experiences
  • Ability to stay calm under pressure and thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
