In this pivotal role, you will drive Workforce Planning across the entire Tesco Group, collaborating closely with business leaders and directors to prepare our organisation for the future. Your leadership will be key in crafting and developing workforce insights, and redefining requirements into actionable, impactful plans.
You will be responsible for:
- Partnering with the business to understand the strategically and/or operationally critical workforce segments (roles & skills) over a 3-5 year horizon.
- Identifying the key workforce disruptors and challenges, and the implications they have on the future of work in Tesco.
- Building an external view of how Tesco benchmarks against markets, industries and competitors.
- Leading the collaborative development of workforce strategies, preparing the organisation with the right build, buy, borrow and re-skilling strategy.
- Assisting in the creation of Strategic Workforce Plan framework including the design, build and implementation of tools and processes to enable workforce analysis and planning.
- Utilising data internally and externally to develop workforce insights and strategies to prepare the organisation workforce of the future.
- Unlocking performance by continuously validating and measuring workforce assumptions applied to future supply & demand scenarios.
- Supporting the development of the Organisation Of The Future, identifying investment & divestment opportunities, aligned to the business strategy.
- Developing best practice and building internal capability across Group communities of practice.
You will need:
- Analytical approach/questioning including use of data analysis and interpretation.
- Strategic longer term thinking, bringing the outside in providing thought leadership and developing strategic proposals.
- Ability to story tell with comprehensive data and insights.
- Comfortable working with senior leaders and undertaking extensive stakeholder engagement.
- Self-driven and able to work with ambiguity, with the ability to learn Tesco group at pace applying a broad approach.
- Innovative and creative approach to craft new tools, working across the people operating model areas to ensure an interconnected approach.
