We are on the lookout for a Senior Assistant Designer to become a key part of the Design team on the babywear area. You will support the Manager to ensure that technical briefs and any design inspiration have been completed according to the departments critical path. This role would suit someone with girlswear and babywear experience.

You will be responsible for:

  • Work with the design team to develop new and exciting trends.
  • Design beautiful baby girls product with great attention to detail.
  • Ability to produce detailed tech packs in a fast paced environment.
  • To present confidently and sign off range selections in partnership with the Buying, Merchandising and Technical teams.
  • Contribute to the department Strategy.
  • Prepare key items, shapes, fabric for design team development trips.
  • Be aware of the critical path and ensure department stays on track.
  • Confidently hold supplier meetings.
  • Take on projects and work across wider teams.

You will need:

  • Extensive experience within Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.
  • Strong tech pack skills.
  • Girlswear/baby girls experience.
  • Ability to rework aops/placements where required.
  • Technical understanding of garment construction to contribute in fit sessions.
  • To know the manufacturing and production process, and be able to design into price points.
  • Experience in Microsoft programs i.e. you will use Powerpoint for presentation purposes.
  • Deputise for the Designer when required.
  • Strong team player.
  • Super organised.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Real passion about colour.
