We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Marketing Procurement Manager to join the Tesco procurement team. This role will require an extensive marketing procurement category background with particular strengths and experience in digital marketing, but knowledge and understanding of technology procurement is also an advantage.

This is an exciting time to join the Tesco Marketing Procurement team. You will be supporting the business to deliver change and innovation through contractual compliance and effective supplier relationship management.

You will be responsible for:

  • Developing and delivering procurement strategies.
  • Ensuring positive relationships with suppliers & customers continue to be developed and maintained internationally.
  • Delivering phenomenal value contracts.
  • Developing and implementing projects which truly support the Tesco transformation priorities.
  • Writing and delivering the Procurement plan for the services and products you are responsible for.
  • Building improvements in existing services, looking for specialisation and automation improvements.
  • Being the go-to person for Customer teams on the development of the digital marketing strategy.
  • Leading supplier reviews, acting as a partner concern point for contract-related issues.
  • Developing strong working relationships with the customer base (internally and external suppliers) to understand and influence requirements.
  • Reviewing existing and potential new suppliers and assessing their sustainability to supply Tesco, minimising risk, and optimising service.

You will need:

  • Strong commercial competence and negotiation skills.
  • Phenomenal interpersonal skills and experience of cross functional working & customer engagement.
  • Proven record of delivering change through influencing and challenging the norm.
  • A character with drive and resilience.
  • High standards of ethics and personal integrity and development of self and others.
  • At least three years procurement / buying experience preferably in Marketing/Technology.
