One Stop, a subsidiary of Tesco, is looking for a Customer Service Assistant to join our fast‑paced retail environment. You will work across all areas of the store, ensuring excellent customer service, safe practices, and a welcoming store atmosphere.

Responsibilities

  • Know and serve customers with passion and pride.
  • Encourage customers to provide feedback through our “have your say” survey.
  • Work across all areas of the store – online, tills, replenishment, vending and stock routines – to meet customer needs.
  • Apply training to work safely and protect staff and customers.
  • Participate in seasonal, community and charity events to create an inclusive atmosphere.
  • Understand store performance and contribute to delivering profit.
  • Live One Stop’s values, make everyone feel welcome, and follow all policies.
  • Clock in and out accurately for all hours worked and follow security procedures, wearing safety equipment where available.
  • Follow the Think25 policy when serving age‑restricted products.
  • Provide assistance on self‑service checkouts and explain actions to customers, maintaining a clean and tidy working area.
  • Assume the role of shift leader in the absence of the Shift Leader and Store Manager, ensuring all safety, legal and training protocols are followed.

Post Office Local Duties (if applicable)

  • Oversee day‑to‑day operations of the post office.
  • Undertake a Post Office financial and criminal conviction background check. Failure to pass these checks may result in job offer withdrawal.
