We are delighted to share that we are recruiting for a Buying Manager across Sliced Cooked Meats & Pate. The successful candidate will have accountability for Sliced Cooked Meats & Pate which is a substantial category taking between £10.5m to £11.5m per week and is a critical area for customers' shopping experience. You'll work closely with strategic partners to deliver our ambitions including growing Finest share, growing past our 30% market share & improving the health of the range.

Given the scale and importance of the area, it comes with a lot of exposure as it is a key area within MFPE. This role will lead on backwall deli which is an £80m proposition covering a number of areas where you will own the strategy and work closely with peers to grow the prop to over £m.

You will be responsible for:

  • Passionate about taking ownership of the category to deliver:
    • Market out performance & 30% market share
    • Aldi Price Match across key lines
    • A credible range that supports volume delivery while managing the mix
    • Forecasting & managing profitability across the year
  • Build strong supplier relationships to deliver:
    • Great quality, prices and service level on a consistent basis
    • Improvements to quality & costs through improvements
  • Be brave to deliver strategic opportunities by truly understanding our customers & suppliers:
    • Grow finest across in Aisle and Backwall deli from 20% to 30%
    • Improve health of range
    • Reduce and potentially remove EAT to be replaced with Core in the APM
    • Backwall deli achieves over £m in sales

You will need:

  • Strong influencer across teams and at all levels

  • Meat industry experience is a bonus
