A position has arisen within the Frontline Services Directorate for a highly motivated Senior Transport Officer to provide technical expertise and support to the Integrated Transport Unit, based in Ty Glantaf.

The successful candidate will provide supervisory and technical expertise to support the Integrated Transport Unit’s Public Transport team. The position will coordinate an effective, integrated, public transport service, which is focused on the delivery of safe, carbon footprint reducing, efficient and effective modes of transport to a broad range of members of the public. The post will also facilitate close working relationships with key partners, and determine clear and effective cost control.

You will possess demonstrable public transport knowledge and experience, excellent supervisory skills, will be able to focus on service users and delivery, successfully managing their workload in a timely and efficient manner, and delivering excellent supervisory support to the service area.

You must have exceptional attention to detail, be proficient in the use of IT packages, have good oral and written communication skills, be a good organiser with a flexible approach to work and be customer focussed.
