RCT Council is preparing to recruit to its Graduate Programme, offering fantastic opportunities to work in a vibrant environment, learn new and transferable skills, meet people from a range of backgrounds and develop a professional career in Rhondda Cynon Taf. All Graduate Officers will be supported to complete either a Level 4 Project Management qualification or job-related technical training (all fully funded) as part of the programme.

The Council’s Transformation Team is part of the Audit, Performance and Transformation Service within the Corporate Resources Directorate. The role of the Graduate Transformation Officer is to support Service Areas in delivering meaningful change by applying a distinctive blend of analytical, research and problem-solving skills. The post-holder will help identify opportunities for improving efficiency, effectiveness and innovation across Council services.

We are seeking an enthusiastic individual who can bring fresh perspectives and constructive challenge to established ways of working. You will be expected to review a broad range of information, undertake literature and best-practice research and explore innovative approaches being applied across the UK public sector. You will then assess how these approaches could be adopted or adapted within Rhondda Cynon Taf.

Essential Criteria
  • A minimum 2:1 degree (or equivalent) in any discipline.

Each competency response must be limited to a maximum of 200 words and only your first 200 words for each response will be considered. Any response exceeding this limit may result in the application not being reviewed or shortlisted.
