Rhondda Cynon Taf County Borough Council is offering a Safeguarding Lead Co‑ordinator position within the Cwm Taf Multi‑Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH). This full‑time, permanent role is grade 13 (£49,282 per annum) and located in Pontypridd moving to Ty Trevithick, Abercynon. Candidates must be available for a 37‑hour week, Monday‑Friday, with a hybrid working model.

Who We Are Looking For

The successful candidate must hold a relevant professional qualification, such as a degree in Social Work (or predecessor qualification), nursing, occupational therapy or a recognised police officer qualification. They must have substantial experience working with adults at risk, supporting them to achieve their outcomes and ensuring their safety and wellbeing.

Role Overview

As the Safeguarding Lead Co‑ordinator, you will play a crucial part in delivering and developing our specialist Adult Safeguarding service. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Responding to adult safeguarding reports
  • Managing Section 126 enquiries
  • Co‑ordinating and participating in strategy meetings
  • Leading or supporting safeguarding investigations
  • Co‑ordinating case conferences
