Overview
We are looking for an experienced, self‑motivated, and enthusiastic individual to join our new Homeless Assessment and Support Team. You will deliver high‑quality, person‑centred, trauma‑informed, multi‑agency face‑to‑face support to homeless clients placed in Temporary Accommodation across RCT. You will ensure clients receive appropriate, continuous assessment and are supported to engage fully in the housing support and move‑on processes.
Responsibilities
- Provide face‑to‑face support and risk assessments for homeless clients.
- Conduct continuous assessment of client needs and progress.
- Support clients to engage fully with housing support and move‑on procedures.
- Apply trauma‑informed, multi‑agency approaches in service delivery.
- Participate in safeguarding activities and undergo enhanced disclosure and barring service checks.
Qualifications
- Experience working with homeless clients.
- Experience completing face‑to‑face support and risk assessments.
- Understanding of the needs of vulnerable people and the causes of homelessness.
Other Information
Funding for this role is confirmed until 31 March 2028. The Council values diversity and commits to non‑discrimination on protected characteristics. Welsh language: A Welsh‑speaking candidate at Level 3 or above will be considered under the Council’s guaranteed interview scheme for Welsh speakers.
