This is a significant senior officer opportunity, to help shape the future of adult social care accommodation and day services in Rhondda Cynon Taf. As our Head of Accommodation and Day Services, you will play a central role in driving the strategic direction of our services and supporting transformational change to continually improve the wellbeing outcomes of our service users.
Working as part of the Adult Services Management Team and with partners both inside and outside of the Council, you will provide the strategic leadership for the adult accommodation and day service to ensure the delivery of high quality care and support, as well as direct and oversee an ambitious and successful capital programme to modernise and extend accommodation with care options for the residents of Rhondda Cynon Taf.
This role is critical to the delivery of the adult services strategy that is committed to modernising its offer and securing future services to continue supporting the wellbeing of vulnerable people in our care. This post requires a credible and compassionate leader with proven experience of managing social care services, who has excellent relationship‑building skills and the ability to operate confidently in complex, multi‑agency environments.
Protecting children and vulnerable adults is a core responsibility of all staff appointed to the Council. In addition to this safeguarding responsibility, the successful applicant for this role will also be subject to an enhanced disclosure and barring service check.
