  • Job Role

Youth Service Manager – 37 hours per week – Grade 14 at £52,413 per annum.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the operational delivery of the Youth Engagement and Participation Service, overseeing over 60 staff.
  • Provide strategic and operational leadership to a multi‑disciplinary team, ensuring services are evidence‑led and responsive to local needs.
  • Develop, deliver and evaluate innovative interventions that improve outcomes for young people aged 11–25.
  • Manage resources effectively, including budgets, secure funding and drive continuous improvement.
  • Build and maintain strong partnerships with South Wales Police, Welsh Government and third‑sector organisations, delivering integrated services.
  • Lead the Youth Support Services Strategy and ensure the voice of young people informs service design.
  • Fulfil safeguarding responsibilities and undertake enhanced disclosure and barring service checks.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Experienced, dynamic leader with a passion for managing youth services.
  • Strong communication and partnership skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage budgets and secure funding.
  • Track record of delivering measurable impact and continuous improvement.
  • Effective team development and leadership skills.
  • Experience working within statutory frameworks for youth provision.
  • Welsh Language
