RCT Council is preparing to recruit for its Graduate Programme, which provides fantastic opportunities to work in a vibrant environment, learn new and transferable skills, meet people from various backgrounds, and develop a professional career in Rhondda Cynon Taf. All Graduate Officers will be supported to complete either a Level 4 Project Management qualification or job-related technical training (all fully funded) as part of the programme.
The Council's Corporate Health and Safety Team is an integral part of the Human Resources, Employee Relations Service. The Health and Safety Team plays a vital role in ensuring that the Council maintains a safe and healthy working environment and satisfies its legal responsibilities. The team is responsible for the development and review of Corporate Health and Safety Policies, guidance documents, templates, and communication of Health and Safety information.
The team acts as an advisory service and provides competent Health and Safety advice and guidance to a range of stakeholders, liaising with various enforcing authorities and acting as the point of contact. They monitor compliance, process incidents/accidents, and investigate loss events to identify causation, covering a diverse range of safety issues.
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our Corporate Health and Safety Team. The role is ideal for individuals who display attention to detail and can communicate effectively with stakeholders across a wide range of topics. As part of a small team, you will support team members in promoting a safe and healthy workplace for employees and visitors.
Requirements:
- A minimum 2:2 degree in Occupational, Safety and Health Management or NEBOSH Diploma/Level 6 qualification.
