Who We’re Looking For. We’re looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual with strong attention to detail and a passion for providing excellent service. You’ll bring confident written and face‑to‑face communication skills, along with good ICT and numeracy abilities. Sensitivity, professionalism and a commitment to confidentiality are essential, as you will be working with historic and sensitive personal records. This role is ideal for someone who is eager to learn, enjoys variety, and wants to play an active part in the ongoing modernisation and digitisation of services. You will support Legal and Democratic Services with the management of both historic and current registration records, while developing practical skills across registration duties, records management, customer service and administrative support.

What Will You Study? All Apprentices will be supported to complete a Level 3 Business & Administration qualification.

What Will You Be Paid? This is a fixed‑term post for a two‑year period, starting in September 2026. You will be paid the National Minimum Wage, dependent on age:

  • 21 and over: £12.71
  • 18‑20: £10.85
  • Under 18: £8.00

Essential Eligibility. Applicants who have already achieved a Level 3 or higher qualification in the subject area of the apprenticeship are ineligible. However, you may apply for other apprenticeship pathways.
