Who We’re Looking For
The Accountancy Service is seeking a motivated and well-organised individual with strong communication skills, excellent attention to detail, and a positive, team-focused attitude. This apprenticeship is an ideal opportunity for someone looking to begin a career in finance and develop a solid foundation in public sector accountancy.
Responsibilities
- You will gain practical experience in key financial processes, including maintaining records, supporting the closure of accounts, processing journal entries, assisting with reconciliations, and contributing to in-year budget monitoring.
- You will also take part in regular training, one-to-one reviews, and on-the-job learning to support your progress towards the AAT Accounting qualification.
Entry Requirements
5 GCSEs at A-C grade including Maths, English and a Science based subject or equivalent.
What Will You Study?
All apprentices will be supported to complete a qualification in AAT.
What Will You Be Paid?
This is a fixed term post for a two-year period, starting in September 2026. You will be paid the National Minimum Wage depending on age.
