The predicted salary is between 36000 - 60000 £ per year.
1 x part time permanent post – 4 days per week. Soulbury PayScale for Educational Psychologists points 2 to 8 with up to 3 SPA points (previous SPA points will be honoured). The post will be based in a multi-disciplinary team within our Children's Services, Integrated Family Support Services, Therapeutic Families Team with the aim of providing advice, guidance and evidence based therapeutic interventions alongside social work colleagues and systemic family therapists.

ResponsibilitiesPost holders will provide support to children and young people, and their families/carers who are experiencing complex challenges in their lives with the aim of preventing:
- Unnecessary admission of children and young people into care and assist returning home those that might already be in care.
- The breakdown of placements for children and young people already in care and reduce the need for movement between placements.
As a Specialist Educational Psychologist you will be required to work across Rhondda Cynon Taf and with children and young people from the area who might be living beyond its boundaries, offering an exciting opportunity for individuals who want to make a difference.

Although based in our Children’s Services, Integrated Family Support Service, support and supervision will be provided from our Rhondda Cynon Taf/Merthyr Tydfil Integrated Educational Psychology Service. You will also be able to take advantage of the excellent CPD opportunities offered by this team.
