Based in Sardis House, Pontypridd. We are looking for a self-motivated and enthusiastic individual to be an integral part of our busy Housing Solutions team. You will be responsible for interviewing and advising clients at risk of homelessness or in housing need so wherever possible homelessness is prevented and the Council can effectively discharge its duty in accordance with the Housing (Wales) Act 2014. You will also carry out a full assessment of clients' housing and support needs to complete online Common Housing Register applications.
You should have experience of working in a busy and pressurised customer-facing role. Knowledge of the relevant homelessness legislation is essential, and experience of partnership working would be desirable.
Protecting children and vulnerable adults is a core responsibility of all staff appointed to the Council. In addition to this safeguarding responsibility, the successful applicant for this role will also be subject to an enhanced disclosure and barring service check.
