Hours: Part time (25 hours per week), Term time only

Grade 5 £13.90 per hour

About The Role….
Catering Services are looking for a self–motivated and enthusiastic individual to undertake the role of Cook in Charge at
Brynnau
Primary School.
Working hours will be approximately 5 hours a day, usually between 9.00am and 2pm, Monday to Friday.

Key Responsibilities

  • Preparation, cooking and serving of all meals, snacks and beverages including any medically prescribed dietary requirements, appropriate care plan and/or medical or dietitians\’ recommendation.
  • To operate the kitchen in accordance with legislation, guidelines, policies and procedures in relation to Food Safety and Health and Safety.
  • To order adequate food and sundries and ensure that the catering operation meets the site/establishments financial objectives to include effective portion control.
  • Undertake digital administration and associated paperwork.
  • Supervision of all staff working within the food preparation area.
  • To communicate with staff and customers in a pleasant and professional manner at all times.

The successful candidate will: –
Have experience of cooking for large volumes of customer. Demonstrate good communication skills, and a positive \’action focused\’ attitude. Will be enthusiastic with a logical and organised approach to planning, and the ability to function effectively under pressure. Foster a positive safety culture, and customer focused environment.
