A position has arisen within the Environmental Services Directorate for a highly motivated Principal Transport Officer to make an active and positive contribution to the overall management of the Integrated Transport Unit, based in Ty Glantaf.
Responsibilities
- Provide management and support in relation to the Integrated Transport Unit’s Home to School/College, Community Care, Travel Training, and Public Transport provisions.
- Manage a team of Transport Officers and Travel Trainers and oversee contract management to ensure passengers continue to receive a high‑quality transport provision.
- Maintain management information systems, investigate and respond to complaints and enquiries, and maintain close working relationships with key partners and stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Excellent supervisory skills, with a focus on service users and delivery.
- Ability to manage workload in a timely and efficient manner, delivering excellent managerial support to team and service area.
- Exceptional attention to detail, proficiency in the use of IT packages, and strong oral, written and communication skills.
- Organising ability, flexible working approach, and customer‑focused attitude.
