Who We’re Looking For

We seek a friendly, motivated, and adaptable individual who is eager to learn and develop their skills within a busy service area. Candidates should be well organised, willing to take on new challenges, and able to communicate clearly with colleagues and customers, both verbally and in writing. A positive attitude, reliability, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team are essential.

Responsibilities

  • Accurate data entry and maintaining records
  • Using in‑house systems and databases
  • Developing skills in quality assurance, finance, and effective administrative practice
  • Providing excellent customer service, including responding to telephone enquiries
  • Building knowledge and practical experience across the wide range of business support functions within the service
  • Gaining broad experience across different business support environments at our Pontypridd and Treforest sites

What You’ll Study

All apprentices will be supported to complete a Level 3 Business and Administration qualification.

Pay and Contract

This is a fixed‑term post for a two‑year period, starting in September 2026. Pay is based on the National Minimum Wage and is dependent on age:

  • 21 & over £12.71 per hour
  • 18–20 £10.85 per hour
  • Under 18 £8.00 per hour

Important Eligibility Information

Applicants must not have already achieved a Level 3 or higher qualification in the subject area of the apprenticeship. If a degree in Civil Engineering is held, the applicant is not eligible for the Civil Engineering apprenticeship but may apply for other pathways.
