You will gain hands‑on experience with industry‑leading security tools, learn from experienced specialists, and play a part in safeguarding critical services for our communities. We’re seeking a tech‑enthusiastic individual ready to take their first step into a rewarding career in the IT industry.

Entry Requirements

  • 3 – 5 GCSEs (or equivalent) including Mathematics and English language at grade C or above
  • 3 A Levels, Grades BCC – CDD / BTEC Extended Diploma – Distinction Merit Merit - Merit Merit Pass

What Will You Study

You will study towards a degree apprenticeship – BSc (Hons) in Digital and Technology Solutions (Cyber Security) at the University of South Wales.

Apprenticeship Duration

The degree course runs for four years and is a work‑based learning degree. You’ll spend a minimum of 20% of your time learning and studying.

Remuneration

This is a fixed‑term post for a four‑year period, starting in September 2026. You will be paid the National Minimum Wage dependent on age:

  • 21 + £12.71
  • 18 – 20 £10.85
  • Under 18 £8.00

After two years, your salary will increase.

Eligibility & EEO Statements

Due to the apprenticeship entry criteria, we are unable to accept applications from anyone who has already achieved a similar qualification at Level 3 or above in the subject area of the apprenticeship they are applying for. If you hold a degree in Civil Engineering, you would not be eligible to apply for a Civil Engineering apprenticeship, but you may apply for other apprenticeship pathways.
