The Rhondda Cynon Taf Council Occupational Health team is a multi-disciplinary team consisting of Occupational Health Physicians, Nurses, Physiotherapists, Counsellors, Wellbeing Advisors, Occupational Health Technicians, and administrative support. The team plays a vital role in supporting the health and wellbeing of our employees, utilising specialist expertise to deliver clinical assessments, medical advice, and supportive interventions to enable employers to meet health and safety obligations.

We have a fantastic opportunity for a Senior Physiotherapist with a keen interest in working collaboratively within the field of occupational health, to support health and wellbeing objectives outlined in our Corporate Plan and Workforce Well-being Strategy 2024/30. The Senior Physiotherapist will work as part of the Occupational Health team, providing fitness for work assessments, professional guidance, and therapeutic intervention to maximise the health and wellbeing of the service users.

The appointed individual will be expected to provide supervisory support to reportees and the wider clinical team ensuring the service achieves its aim to maximise attendance and proactive approach to health promotion. The Senior Physiotherapist will be expected to lead and facilitate professional governance monitoring and development within the team.

This post will require the appointed physiotherapist to work predominantly from the Occupational Health and Wellbeing Unit in Pontypridd, undertaking clinical duties and health promotion activities. A hybrid working pattern may be discussed with the Occupational Health Manager.
