Full time, 37 hours; fixed term until 31 March 2027. Salary: GR9 £36,363 per annum. Based in Sardis House, Pontypridd.

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Housing Solutions Officer to join our Housing Solutions & Prevention Service. The postholder will play an integral role in delivering early intervention and homelessness prevention in accordance with the Housing (Wales) Act 2014. Working directly with households at risk of homelessness, you will provide tailored and comprehensive housing advice, negotiate with landlords and family members, develop Personal Housing Plans, and support clients to sustain accommodation wherever it is safe and appropriate.

Responsibilities

  • Provide early intervention and homelessness prevention services.
  • Deliver housing advice and negotiate accommodation arrangements.
  • Develop Personal Housing Plans for clients.
  • Support clients to sustain safe and suitable accommodation.
  • Work collaboratively within a fast‑paced statutory environment.
  • Actuate safeguarding and child protection duties as part of staff responsibilities.

Qualifications

  • Strong working knowledge of the Housing (Wales) Act 2014.
  • Effective case management skills.
  • Demonstrated empathy, organisational ability, and teamwork.
  • Experience with vulnerable individuals and housing outcomes.
