This is an exciting time for Accommodation Services as we seek to continue to provide high quality services alongside delivering value for money. Our vision is to shift from traditional institutional type day settings to more enabling models that focus on promoting independence rather than accelerating dependence.

Responsibilities

  • Work as part of a dedicated staff team to provide a range of activities based on an individual’s needs and preferences.
  • Assist with the design and delivery of activities that enhance the independence of individuals attending the centre.
  • Contribute to a high standard of service and outcome focus for users of the centre.
  • Participate in induction, ongoing training and supervision to carry out work effectively.

Qualifications

  • Experience of working within a formal care setting or as an informal carer (preferred but not essential).
  • Flexible, dedicated, reliable and innovative with the ability to use one’s own initiative.

Protecting children and vulnerable adults is a core responsibility of all staff appointed to the Council. The successful applicant will also be subject to an enhanced disclosure and barring service check.
