Overview
Extra Care - Casual Social Care Workers. Shifts (06:50–14:20, 14:10–21:40 and night shift 21:30–07:00). Based in Cwrt Yr Orsaf, Union Street, Pontypridd. Salary: GR5 – £13.90 per hour plus enhancements for weekends and unsocial hours.
We are currently seeking enthusiastic and self-motivated individuals to join our team of Social Care Workers to provide care and support to tenants over the age of 50, to live independently within our Extra Care facility.
Responsibilities
- Provide care and support to tenants over the age of 50 to enable them to live independently within the Extra Care facility.
- Be dedicated, reliable, and willing to learn new skills; use own initiative as required.
- Attend induction, ongoing training and supervision to carry out work effectively.
- Support with registration for Social Care Wales where applicable and engage with in-house training to support individual learning needs.
- Reimbursement of registration fees is provided where appropriate.
Requirements / Qualifications
- Experience of supporting people within a social care setting is desirable but not essential.
- Willingness to work across a 365-day service and offer flexible cover for days, afternoons and night shifts.
- Successful candidates will be required to undertake an Enhanced DBS check.
- Safeguarding of children and vulnerable adults is a core responsibility of all staff.
