Mae’r ddogfen hon ar gael yn Gymraeg / This document is also available in Welsh. Rhondda Cynon Taf are currently looking for a self-motivated and enthusiastic Planning Policy Assistant & Technical Officer to become an integral part of our dedicated Planning Policy team.
This is an exciting opportunity to be part of the team preparing the Revised Local Development Plan and shaping the future of the County Borough to be resilient and sustainable. The successful candidate will assist in the production, implementation, monitoring, and review of the statutory development plan, primarily the Local Development Plan (LDP), with potential future involvement in the Strategic Development Plan.
You will undertake various planning policy tasks, especially in preparing and monitoring the LDP, and support senior officers and subgroups on major tasks.
Technical requirements include demonstrating experience with Geographical Information Systems (GIS) and proficiency with software such as Access, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. You will also collate, record, and present data effectively.
This role offers a hybrid working arrangement, with staff working from home and the office long-term. Employment hours are 37 per week under flexible hours, with 26 days holiday per year, increasing to 31 after 5 years, plus 8 public holidays.
