School Catering – 2 x Mobile Primary Cook In Charge
Hours: 30 hours per week - Term Time (plus 12 days during the summer holidays for food fun)
Salary: Grade 5 £26,824 x 71.22% (plus 12 additional days overtime in the summer)

Overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen for two mobile Primary Cook in Charge posts to join RCT Catering Services to work flexibly across a range of RCT schools, covering substantive Cook posts at short notice. Working hours will be approximately 6 hours a day, usually between 8.00am and 2.00pm, Monday to Friday.
Responsibilities
- The position will involve full running of a kitchen to provide cover for permanent staff.
- Main duties will include food planning, food preparation, cooking, serving meals to the children, cleaning down the kitchen and washing up as part of a team.
- You will also be expected to complete staff timesheets, stock ordering and all kitchen paperwork including an online document for food safety compliance.
Qualifications
- Strong experience in cooking and able to work under pressure.
- Possess good communication skills with a can-do attitude.
- Food Safety Certificates.
- Ability to adhere and follow all rules and procedures.
- You will need the ability to travel throughout the County Borough to meet the requirements of the post.
- All successful applicants must have a Food Safety Certificate Level 3 or be prepared to undertake and complete a Level 3 within the first week of employment.
