Rhondda Cynon Taf Council is seeking a proven leader to shape the future of frontline public services.
As an individual with a track record in operational, resource and logistics management, you will provide strategic oversight for a range of Public Spaces management including Street Cleansing, Parks Maintenance, Facilities Cleaning, Domestic and Trade Recycling Waste collections, Recycling Education, and Environmental Enforcement in accordance with Council Policies and Procedures and in line with the Council’s Corporate plan 2024-2030.
The role will also require you to manage contracts for the above services and work closely with internal and external partners to achieve the Council’s objectives. You will also provide direction in the development of infrastructure to deliver sustainable waste services as legislative requirements change, including the Deposit Return Scheme, and Extended Producer Responsibility scheme, procuring and managing new contracts to support the Council’s aim to be net-zero by 2030.
Key to this role will be the development and implementation of a pre-planned Public Spaces service that reduces the reactive element, whilst maintaining a customer service culture that creates a responsive high-quality service for the community.
