General Kitchen Assistant – Pontyclun Primary (Grade 2)
Rhondda Cynon Taf County Borough Council – Catering Services – Pontyclun Primary School.
Position – Grade 2, 16.25 hrs per week (term time only).
Pay – £12.85 per hour.
About the role
We’re looking for a self‑motivated, enthusiastic individual to support food preparation and service at Pontyclun Primary. Duties include food prep, serving, washing up and general kitchen cleaning in a fast‑paced environment. The service runs Monday‑Friday, 9:00 am – 2:00 pm.
Responsibilities
- Assist with food preparation and serving.
- Wash up and clean the kitchen.
- Follow food safety and hygiene practices.
- Work safely in a fast‑paced kitchen environment.
Qualifications
- Food safety Certificate – Level 2 or willingness to gain the qualification.
- Dedicated and reliable.
- Good communication skills.
- Ability to follow instructions.
