Temporary full‑time Engagement and Assessment Officer – Assessment, Brokerage and Review Team (WEST)
Key responsibilities
- Provide prompt responses to referrals and ensure positive engagement of families.
- Conduct proportionate, resilience‑based assessments and develop tailored support plans.
- Oversee the delivery of high‑quality support services from a variety of providers.
- Maintain safeguarding responsibilities and comply with statutory duties.
Requirements
- Level 3 Children and Young People qualification in Health and Social Care (QCF) or equivalent NVQ Level 3 in Caring for Children and Young People.
- Demonstrable experience conducting assessments with children and families across Rhondda Cynon Taff.
- Ability to achieve the required QCF within two years of assignment as an assessor.
- Commitment to safeguarding children and vulnerable adults, and subject to an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check.

- The position is temporary, funded until 31 March 2028.
- Location: Rhondda Cynon Taf, County Borough.
