Rhondda Cynon Taf Council is seeking an experienced and motivated Connect to Work Programme Co-ordinator to lead the delivery, development, and performance of the Connect to Work programme across the county. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in supporting residents—particularly Disabled People and individuals with complex barriers to employment—to access meaningful, sustained, paid employment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate the Connect to Work programme across Rhondda Cynon Taf, ensuring full compliance with guidelines, external funders, and governing bodies.
- Provide effective line management to the Connect to Work team, ensuring all activities reflect supported employment principles, meet audit requirements, and achieve agreed performance targets.
- Hold lead responsibility for a designated thematic area, working collaboratively with colleagues across the wider Work and Skills Central Team.
- Drive the successful implementation of Supported Employment, ensuring the programme effectively reaches and engages the target audiences.
- Support the Community Services Manager in aligning delivery with other grant-funded employability initiatives, ensuring the programme complements the Council’s Corporate Plan.
- Oversee all aspects of project coordination, including budget oversight, management information systems, performance monitoring, and periodic claims.
- Take responsibility for meeting all project outcomes and targets as prescribed by the external funder.
About You
- Experience in project coordination.
- Strong leadership and people management skills.
- Enhanced understanding of and experience in supported employment and the barriers faced by target audiences.
- Excellent organisational abilities, with experience of meeting targets, managing budgets, and overseeing reporting processes.
- Clear understanding of supported employment principles and experience working with vulnerable or disadvantaged groups.
- The ability to build strong relationships with internal teams, partners, and stakeholders.
Fixed term until 31st March 2030. Location: Ty Elai, CF40 1NY (hybrid working). Salary: GR12 £46,142 per annum.
