An opportunity has arisen for the post of Corporate Project Manager to join the Design/Construction Project Management Team. Having completed the Band B programme, the role will involve delivering the new LEA Rolling Programme of New School Buildings and other Major Capital Construction Projects. The post reports to a Senior Project Delivery Manager within Corporate Design and is part of a multi‐disciplinary team of property professionals.
Responsibilities
- Produce coordinated programmes of work for capital schemes.
- Liaise with client departments and external agencies.
- Produce timely reports and data about projects.
- Procure consultants and contractors.
- Take individual responsibility for project management of projects as workload dictates.
- Respond flexibly to changing demands and priorities.
- Work independently with self‐motivation and as a team player.
Qualifications
- Problem solver and strategic thinker.
- Appropriate qualification (any relevant qualification technical or managerial).
- IT literate with good experience of MS Office, MS Project, OneDrive, MS Planner and SharePoint.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD.
- Working knowledge of PRINCE2 project management (advantage).
The hours of work are 37 per week and may be worked in accordance with the Council's flexible working hours scheme. The post will be based within the Corporate Estates Design/Project Management Team at The Valleys Innovation Centre, Navigation Park, Abercynon, CF45 4SN.
