Learning Disability Respite Services
2 x 30 hour post based at 1 Belle Vue Terrace, Treforest, CF37 1TQ
Grade 5 - £26,824 per annum (pro rata) £13.90 per hour
Looking for a challenge? Enjoy supporting people? We are currently seeking to recruit enthusiastic and self-motivated staff to join our team of Social Care Workers providing care and support to individuals within our Learning Disability Respite Homes, on a flexible basis.
Experience of supporting people within a social care respite setting is desirable but not essential, as successful applicants will be expected to bring their own life experiences and skills to the role. You will be provided with an induction, ongoing relevant training, and supervision to carry out your work effectively. This will require mandatory training such as Positive Behaviour Management, PEG feeding training as you will be required to support individuals with a diverse range of care and support needs.
You will need to have obtained or demonstrate commitment to work towards the relevant qualifications and work in accordance with the Code of Professional Practice for Social Care and will require to register with Social Care Wales.
Due to services being delivered 365 days per year, the successful applicants will be required to cover a range of shifts on a rota basis, including but not limited to: days, evenings, wake nights, weekends, and Bank holidays including Christmas & New Year. You will receive enhancements for weekend working and unsocial hours.
