Duties and Key Responsibilities:
· Oversee food safety, quality assurance, and compliance across both UK and Spanish sites.
· Support with technical audits, manage BRCGS and retailer standards, and ensure readiness for external inspections.
· Coordinate technical activities between UK and Spanish teams, ensuring alignment on standards, processes, and KPIs.
· Facilitate knowledge sharing and harmonization of best practices across sites.
Product Development & Launch Support
· Partner with NPD, production, and commercial teams to ensure technical feasibility and compliance of new chilled dessert products.
· Support scale-up trials and first production runs, ensuring smooth handover to operations.
Supplier & Ingredient Management
· Approve and monitor suppliers and raw materials, ensuring specifications meet quality and safety standards.
· Lead resolution of technical issues with suppliers and drive corrective actions.
Continuous Improvement
· Identify and implement improvements in quality systems, shelf-life, packaging, and process controls.
· Champion root cause analysis and preventative measures for non-conformances.
Requirements
- Degree in Food Science, Food Technology, or related discipline.
- Proven experience in a technical/QA role within chilled food manufacturing, ideally desserts.
- Strong knowledge of UK and EU food legislation, HACCP, and BRCGS standards.
- Fluent in English; Spanish language skills essential.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and project management skills.
- Willingness to travel regularly between UK and Spanish sites.
