Overview: We have a great opportunity for an Assistant Manager within a rapidly expanding electrical and lighting wholesaler in the Leeds area. Led by an ambitious Branch Manager, you will be joining a great team and overseeing the business in conjunction with the manager, as well as having responsibility in their absence.
Responsibilities:
- Based at the trade counter, you will become an integral part of a busy and fast moving branch.
- Deal with sales enquiries on a face to face basis.
- You will represent the trade counter department within the branch and assist with the growth of the business working as a team to exceed their sales targets.
- You will ensure that the needs of the customers are dealt with quickly and efficiently whilst providing a service that ensures that customers return on a regular basis.
- You may also be required to help in other roles within the branch (including stores, supplier liaison, stock control, admin).
- You will be responsible for assisting the branch manager with a team of staff, overseeing the team when they are away from the business.
Skills & Experience:
- Good Electrical Product knowledge gained within an Electrical Wholesaler.
- The ability to build relationships with different types of customer.
- Good telephone manner.
- Friendly, articulate, customer focused.
Working hours: 7.30am to 5pm (although shift time could be negotiable).
