Overview: Our client, a well-established electrical wholesaler based in Hastings, is seeking a self-motivated individual with a strong work ethic and excellent teamwork skills to join their team as a Branch Assistant. This role will primarily involve working in the warehouse, with occasional responsibilities assisting customers at the trade counter and supporting back-office administrative tasks as required.

Responsibilities:
- Receiving, checking, and booking in electrical goods
- Picking, packing, and preparing customer and branch orders accurately
- Ensuring compliance with health & safety regulations at all times
- Keeping the warehouse clean, tidy, and well-organised
- Reporting damaged, missing, or incorrect stock to management
- Serving trade and retail customers at the counter in a professional and helpful manner
- Answering phone enquiries on the trade counter and taking customer orders
- Assisting with back-office administrative tasks if required
Skills & Experience:
- Warehouse experience (in either electrical wholesale or related merchant background i.e. builders merchant / plumbers merchant)
- Ability to prioritise tasks during busy periods
- Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling tasks, in a fast-paced environment
- Team player
- Good attention to detail when picking orders and processing sales
