We are seeking a compassionate, resilient, and highly motivated Teaching Assistant to join our dedicated team within our Hospital School that specialises in supporting young people with eating disorders. This rewarding role involves supporting young people experiencing mental health difficulties to access education during their stay in a hospital setting.

Responsibilities

  • Support students in classrooms and on hospital wards, adapting approach to meet individual needs while promoting high aspirations and encouraging students to achieve their full potential.
  • Collaborate with teachers, clinical staff, and other professionals to help students engage in learning and overcome barriers to education.
  • Promote routines that support academic progress and wellbeing during hospital stays.

Qualifications

  • Patient, organised, and able to build positive relationships with vulnerable young people.
  • Either a graduate interested in teaching or working in a CYPMHS setting, or someone with Teaching Assistant experience.
  • Genuine commitment to inclusion, safeguarding, and supporting students to re-engage with education during challenging periods in their lives.
