We are currently hiring a Global Controller to join our team! As a Global Controller, you’ll serve as a key advisor to both the AVP, Global Finance and the Executive Leadership Team on all financial and accounting matters, as well as provide managers with effective and useful information to assist in the execution of their job responsibilities. You’ll oversee and direct Rho’s accounting and reporting functions, including leading and mentoring your team, as well as leading the organization in financial report and revenue recognition, all while managing / prioritizing multiple deadlines. You will need solid communication, technology, analytical and management skills and proven achievement in managing all aspects of accounting requirements.

This is a full-time opportunity fully remote in the UK.

Responsibilities

  • Act as lead for internal and external audits and post audit activities
  • Represent Company affiliates as officer, where necessary
  • Establish and maintain policies and procedures to ensure accurate accounting records and timely reporting of the company\’s financial results as well as appropriate systems of internal controls over financial reporting and disclosures; ensure all policies and procedures are being adhered to mitigating controlled risks.
  • Implement and maintain business systems to support efficient and accurate accounting operations
  • Ensure accurate and timely year-end, month-end and quarter-end close and reporting from all regions and operating sectors.
  • Coordinate activities with and provide information/support to other departments
  • Oversee global treasury management and lead debt compliance reporting
  • Develop, guide and motivate a team of financial professionals, providing the knowledge and skills necessary to support the company\’s growth in a cost-effective manner.
  • Ensure compliance with appropriate regulations and interpretations.
  • Establish tax compliance procedures and timely reporting/filing for federal, state and local (U.S. and abroad) tax requirements.
  • Actively participate in M&A Finance due diligence and integration activities

Qualifications

  • Fully qualified accountant with 10+ years’ experience in an accounting leadership position, in roles of progressing responsibility with global experience and multi-country consolidation, as well as management experience; CRO industry preferred.
  • Experience with ASC 606, US and UK GAAP
  • Strong understanding of and work experience in global accounting nuances, such as transfer pricing, multiple currencies, intercompany revenue sharing, billings/collections, VAT tax statutory reporting, etc.
  • Strong working experience with Transfer Pricing and Global Income Tax Provisions
  • Good understanding of Global Payroll requirements
  • Excellent financial and analytical skills
  • Strong systems skills, including Microsoft suite of products.
  • Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year end close process, preferably NetSuite
