Our client is a construction and facilities maintenance contractor, who have a growing Social Infrastructure team. They are at the point that they need an experienced Estimator to play a key role in delivering accurate cost plans and competitive tenders within the South East social housing sector.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates from drawings and specifications
- Collaborate across teams to produce commercially sound, competitive tenders
- Build strong relationships with clients and suppliers to support future opportunities
- Produce and present tender build-ups, meeting strict deadlines
- Identify risks and value opportunities within estimates
- Stay up to date with market rates, materials, and labour costs
- Support smooth handover from tender to project delivery
About You:
- Minimum 5 years' construction experience, gained within social housing projects.
- Strong knowledge of JCT & ACA contracts
- Skilled in take-offs, Bills of Quantities, and interpreting technical documents
- Numerically strong, detail-focused, and highly organised
- Proficient in estimating software (or quick to learn)
- Excellent communication and able to work under pressure
