We are looking for an Estimator / Senior Estimator to work with a client in the NW Kent Area on a permanent, full-time basis. The client is a growing and dynamic organisation delivering key projects across the utility and social infrastructure sectors. They need an experienced Estimator to join the Social Infrastructure team. The role involves preparing accurate cost estimates and competitive bids within the Social Housing sector.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review drawings and specifications to produce accurate estimates
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure commercially sound tenders
  • Build and maintain relationships with clients and suppliers
  • Prepare detailed cost breakdowns and meet tender deadlines
  • Support handover to project delivery teams
  • Monitor market rates and identify risks/opportunities
  • Contribute to improving estimating processes

Requirements

  • 5+ years' construction experience (Social Housing preferred)
  • Knowledge of JCT & ACA contracts
  • Ability to measure from drawings and prepare quantities
  • Strong numerical, analytical, and organisational skills
  • Good communication and negotiation abilities
  • Experience with estimating software (or willingness to learn)
  • Relevant qualifications (e.g. Quantity Surveying) desirable

Location: North West, Kent

Salary: 50-65k + DOE

Benefits: Holiday, Pension

Terms: Permanent, Full time in the office

Start Date: Interviews in April with a view to start in April / May 2026
